"STOP STOP STOP" CAMPAIGN
CREATIVE & ART DIRECTION
The Client
Uber, a global leader in ride-hailing, aimed to communicate a strategic shift to its Brazilian drivers: renting a car to drive with Uber could be more advantageous than purchasing one. This message needed to be delivered in a memorable, persuasive way to capture drivers' attention.
The Challenge
Our challenge was to convey Uber’s message in a compelling and relatable way for Brazilian drivers, emphasizing the benefits of car rentals over ownership. The campaign required a bold approach that would break through and resonate with Uber's audience, steering them away from purchasing and towards renting.
Blanzo Creative SERVices Approach
We crafted the "StopCampaign," leveraging the charisma of João Kleber, a well-known Brazilian TV personality famous for his catchphrase, “para, para, para!” (stop, stop, stop!). With his iconic interruptions, João Kleber became the face of the campaign, stepping in to “stop” drivers from making car purchases and steering them towards renting. As the creative and conceptual lead, Blanzo directed the campaign’s execution, from scriptwriting in collaboration with the copywriter to art direction across a 360º rollout. The result was an impactful, engaging campaign that resonated with drivers and delivered Uber’s message loud and clear.
